How to thread a CHILLAXPLUS Mini Sewing Machine

Step 1

First step is to fix the thread spool.

You can either put the spool on the thread spindle on top by raising it OR fill up the bobbin with thread and place it is position as shown in the picture.

Step 2

Whether you keep the thread on the spindle or Bobbin. The thread has to move through the pin as the first movement of thread.

The movement of thread in the right was is important for proper functioning of the machine.

Step 3

The next step is to take the thread to next thread guide over the tension adjusting screw and must be positioned between the two washers behind the tension adjusting screw.

This provides the lock stick tension to the thread.

Step 4

The thread should move to the Lever as per the image.

Pull the thread through thread guide on the take-up lever inserting in the direction toward the front of the machine.

Step 5

Move the thread to the next step.

Pull the thread down to thread guide and insert the thread from top downwards.

Step 6

Move the thread to the next step.

Pull thread downward to the thread guide. If necessary, lower the needle to reach this thread guide by turning the handwheel slightly counter clock wise to lower the needle.

Step 7

Move the thread to the next step.

Insert the thread through eye of the needle from the front towards the back of the machine. ( Use threader , if necessary ). If necessary raise the needle to reach the eye by turning the handwheel slightly clockwise.

Step 8

Raise the Presser Footer by lifting up on the lever at the rear of the machine.

Pull about 10 inches of thread through the needle and lay it on the deck under the presser foot running in the direction away from you.

How to fill up Bobbin with thread from Spool

Step 1

Take the spool of thread that you want to thread the bobbin.

Elongate the rod to fix the spool and fix the spool.

Step 2

Take the bobbin you want to thread and with the thread of the thread spool , do three or four rounds of threading manually before fixing the bobbin on the sewing machine for threading.

By doing so , the thread will not slip off.

Step 3

Extend the Rod on the hand lever and fix the bobbin on the lever.

Before starting the machine rotate the hand wheel once or twice so that the thread fixes properly.

Now Switch on the machine.

The Bobbin will start threading and you can thread it as much as you want.

Step 4

You have the threaded bobbin, If you wish you can keep bobbins filled with colors of your choice.

Adjusting the Machine Settings

Turn the tension dial to get even stitch tension.

The tension dial controls the tension disks that you sandwiched the top thread between when you threaded the machine. Sometimes it will feature numbers to indicate which tension setting you’re using.If you’re switching between thin fabric and thick fabric or bulky layers of material.

Select a high or low speed setting.

Although you can control the up-and-down movement of the needle by pressing the foot pedal, you can choose whether you want the needle to move quickly or slowly with the speed setting. If you push the button inwards, it’ll select the low speed setting, and if you leave it outwards, it’ll operate on the high speed setting.

Lift up the presser foot and needle before pulling out the fabric.

When you’re done stitching, turn the hand wheel towards you to raise the needle out of the fabric. Pull up the presser foot lever to lift the presser foot as well. With the fabric freed up, you can pull it out from under the machine’s mechanisms.

Move the fabric gently, since the threads are still connected.You also don’t want to tug on the fabric too hard as this could break the needle.
