Water dispenser has 3 taps for hot, cold and normal water. Switch ON the button at the back to enable hot and cold water options. For normal and cold water, same storage tank is used hence sometime when water dispenser is not used for more than 6 hours (like at night) then in the morning the water would be slightly cold in Normal tap as well. Take out one glass of water to remove cold water, from second glass onwards, normal water will start flowing in.

Cutting corners leads to poor design
This is a very basic system that pumps water from the bottle at the bottom to the dispenser at the top. What can go wrong with this? Probably nothing since pumps have been used for several decades. However, by cutting corners or perhaps attempting to cut costs, Amazon Basic missed the quality aspect. The tube that Amazon uses to suck the water from the water bottle is a flexible tube. Probably for mass manufacturing, they buy in bulk, which comes in a coil. Since the tube coils, it curls halfway through the bottle. On the second day of using this dispenser, I was not getting water. Upon checking, I noticed we used half a bottle of water, and the tube was above the water line since it was coiled. I need to tie a weight at the end of the tube to keep it straight or replace it with a firm and straight tube. I am surprised that the team that designed this didn’t think about this. Other manufacturers use firm tubes. Is this a poor way of imitating the design and improvising it to cut costs?The second, another minor issue, was the size of the housing for the water bottle. It hardly had any clearance. It would have been better if we had 1/2 in clearance. Without the clearance, I had to push the bottle in with force. The sides are not straight and are a little buckled. When you don’t have clearance, it is a little difficult. I understand that 1/2 in additional sheet metal costs money. Perhaps this is an example of quality suffering when we cut costs…

I have purchased it for my wife. It is amazing. She loved it. But sometime water draining from the cooling cabinet. I found this is happening due to cooling cabinet is tightly packed. Ensure that the cooling cabinet is not tightly packed with food and there should be breathing room for the cooling plate. Overall it is nice looking item in cheaper price.

I love this pitcher, but it’s hard to open and immediately the flap at the pour spout broke, but I kept it. Saves me effort and money. I no longer haul bottled water. This system works great and water tastes great.

My sister told me to look into water pitchers when I complained about so many water bottles. So I did. I am totally satisfied and thrilled with this product! It is easy to clean and easy to put together. The instructions are easy to follow and it fits perfectly in my fridge. The filter makes tap water actually taste good! No joking! Just remember to follow the easy instructions for the first time use of the filter. Anyway, it is durable and looks good, too. So worth the price!!

I was a little Leary about buying the Amazon Basics pitcher, over another Brita pitcher, but Iâm so glad I did. I like the design and slim footprint. Some reviewers complain about the top that is hard to remove. It does have a tight fit, but if you grab the handle in center of lid, while also holding pitcher, itâs not that hard. Pull up with a steady, but not a forceful grip.I have extremely hard and unpleasant tasting water where I live. The Amazon Basics filter does just as well as the Brita filters, and at a much more reasonable price.I appreciate the efficiency and usefulness of water filter pitchers. Saves money, and more importantly, Iâm not contributing vast amounts of added plastic bottles to our already overflowing landfills.

No more chlorine taste in my water, which is so nice. I can’t really read the gauge on top, it’s very dark, to see where my filter level is at, I fill this thing several times a day, so I’m sure I’ll be needing replacement filters soon , but I also bought a faucet that has a filter in it, I haven’t installed it yet, but will soon. I go thru too much water to just rely on this pitcher, and don’t always have time to wait for it to filter thru so I had to get a built in one. But that has nothing to do with the quality of this. It’s well worth it, I do drink more water now, it tastes even better than any bottled water that’s for sure.
