Product is of high quality, I did LOT of study before ordering this one in particular.At my place tap water TDS is between 49 on lower side and during rainy season 85, haven’t had one of those red water incidents, if I do, I will check TDS again at that time.So here is the problem, for this you can’t really install RO, if you do, you will be also needing to install one of those really, really expensive mineralizers and those are not cheap.To make a more sensible decision, I chose something in between, since overall TDS is below 200, UV+UF of excellent quality, and a decent enough mineralizer (Which Eureka Forbes claim for this one).Another requirement I had was a steel tank, which this one had. Although of little small capacity of 5-6L.Now here are the series of problems I had with this whole thing;1. Amazon delivery person had delivered a damaged packaging, as in tape looked like already cut in between. He claimed it happened during handling. I usually know one should directly reject the package, but I checked the box contents, nothing was missing, not even slightest handling proof of product itself was there. So I decided, why to cause trouble for people needlessly. I know it sounds stupid, but I had made the decision. Also, delivery person was exceptionally rude, he acted like he was doing me a favor and was giving bad words under his breath as I was taking my time to check the contents – he even said “what is this timepass” (really terrible delivery guy from Hazuri delivery hub)But to be on the safer side, I dropped a complaint/heads-up to Amazon just in case, if the installation guy claims something is wrong. They were very accommodating, they said if any issue comes during installation we will take return no problems even if period is expired for return window. After getting this assurance, I waited for the service guy to show up for installation.2. Service guy called up in day or two, which was again standard, I had measured the pressure myself, so I knew we would require a pressure pump, so when he claimed we need it I was very accepting of the thing and told him to get it and install – now here is problem, neither he nor the eureka Forbes station had it in stock, which was astounding for me.Alas, I said I will wait, you get one, he left and later called that he will be on holiday so someone else will handle the issue and said pump will take 3–4 days to acquire (I even went to Thane market to check myself, I did not find an eureka forbes universal pressure pump (which by the way should cost around 2500, but the guy charges 3500/-Meanwhile, for some weird reasons, my Amazon order page showed my “free installation service” was cancelled automatically. – I still have no explanation for this.Then, helplessly, I called again to Amazon, requesting numbers to call and to extend my return window just in case. Which they agreed, but the number they gave was invalid, so I had to call again and take a new number, call on that number just in case from another phone while keeping Amazon agent online on one call. Then only my request for installation was registered.After this same installation guy came again on next working day, and he claimed he had to fight to get the pump delivered faster, he also had very little product knowledge, and was even questioning my decision to buy this instead of some other models which have inbuilt pumps. – I have seen them just in case, while they may suit some other people they were not fulfilling my requirement of steel storage tank.Finally, he did installation, asked for emptying tank at least twice.So, after a full ten days of back and forth, we finally have our product installed, universal pressure pump is really loud, but overall acceptable since I basically run it only ones to fill the tank, and then shut it off.I also tried to inquire about AMC package or probably cost of filter changing, as installation guy also warned me that this particular model requires filter change after one year, no matter the actual state of the filter, so I should rather not waste my money on external filter as this one has internal sedi filter.I confirmed with aqua guard helpline, and they also gave a bumbling answer saying “if I want I can still install it, and it will give better quality of water” – which is a complete bs answer, considering we already have a sedi filter inside. Running water via two back to back sedi filters will not improve water quality. They also did not tell me cost for future replacement of filters or AMC costs, they said they don’t know, again a surprise, then who is supposed to know? Or they avoided telling me just in case I return the product? This is completely a case of malpractice and consumer fraud. Finally, one guy said I should install app or go to website to check instead of asking, again not really an answer but at least better than I don’t know or can’t say.I decided not to install one, but point of concern here is I’m fairly certain now that aqua guard usage some timer to ask filter replacement instead of actual filter state judgment.For this I’ve also found a solution, which I’m testing, but this is not acceptable, as installation guy says the product will stop working if I do not change filters when the timer runs out, irrespective of the actual filter state. Please note, this is a real concern sine this is not RO, so usually one does not need filter change that often. Also, person claimed I will have to replace all filters as they come in set. I’m speechless…..Of course, I’m yet to check these as I’m not in that situation yet, but this sure sounds like a headache for my future self after 6 months or year.If you are buying this for good service, please don’t, you will regret it.If you are buying this for good quality product, you should go for it and be ready for customer service headeach.TDS of water coming out of filter is 135+ which is perfect for drinking, unlike my base tape water with range of 49-85. When this was 135, tap water TDS was 85.So, the product does what I wanted it to. Taste is of neutral quality, but water is certainly better tasting than just tap water. PH has also increased from around 6-7 to 7-8. Which is better for drinking water and impressive for non RO and alkaline water purifier.
