I’ve had one for years and it finally gave up so I bought another one and this one should last many years as the first one. I would recommend this one to anyone.

I Love the Bamboo steamer, when I first got it I looked at it and didn’t think it would work at all, but I tried it with chicken breasts and to my amazement the chicken was some of the best chicken I have ever eaten or made, it was super tender and juicy, steaming makes the food soo much better, even my frozen veggies are amazing steamed. The only negative thing is that it didn’t come with instructions or how long to cook what, I had to look up how long to cook my food online but it wasnt that much of a burden. If you haven’t used this before you really should!P.S I really have never cooked before so it is easy for people who arent that experienced in the kitchen 🙂

I had a steamer similar to this and needed to replace it. This was the closest one to my original and was used extensively for a variety food cooking applications. This sits atop my cast iron roaster and other shallower pans.

I bought two as a stack with a cap in July 2015. One broke in December 2015, the other decomposed in Mar 2016. The first time I got it , the cap was broken and they refunded me about ~$10. That old one was made in 1980s in Taipei. The badge says, China Taipei. At the time, the propaganda of Tai Wan government still claimed the true Chinese central government was in Taipei rather than Beijing. Chiang Kai-shek’s son was still in charge of Tai Wan. They still wanted to fight back and take over mainland. I say this to prove how old this bamboo steamer is. I gave this very old steamer a new life in 2012. It’s still working pretty well for me. I would like to call it old reliable friend and this product new non-reliable friend.old reliable friend : it was made in 1980s, still working, it costed me 5 bucks, the new non-reliable friend was stacked on top of old friendwhich means the old one endures much more heat.new reliable friend: it was made in 2010s, broke after half year I purchased it, costed me about 100 bucks.See the attached photos. Then you understand how frustrated I am with current products..

This is absolutely wonderful way to cook great meals with minimal prep time and almost no clean-up! I am diabetic and my wife has a lower tolerance for spicy food than I do. So I tried this way of making meals. It is great! I can do a full meal with just this and clean-up is really easy. I now have two so I can stack four racks When they wear out I will be buying more.
