If you’re surprised by the price, you should be, because this is a BARGAIN. Don’t compare it to a flashlight (although it can be one). Instead compare it to a $60-90 rechargeable work light from somebody like Dewalt or Makita. Because that’s what this competes with.Granted, it may not have the shock-proof durability of a pro tool line, but the workaround is simple: just don’t throw it around. And by the way, its flat profile means it stays put instead of rolling off, its folding hook is unobtrusive but deep, AND the magnet on its back will let you stick it in place, so you’re much less likely to throw it around anyway.I’m not even to the best part yet. Lithium-ion means it will stay charged even if you haven’t used it for months. Do yourself a favour and buy a set of magnetic charging cables and you won’t need to fuss with the micro-usb plug. I topped up its charge out of the box in 15 min, and on large bright mode after 3 hours it was still showing 3 out of 4 lights on the charge indicator. During a power outage, lay this on top of your fridge, point it at the ceiling, and you have a kitchen light…for multiple nights if you’re careful.Still not convinced? It also has an OUTPUT port. Yes, it will charge your phone like a power cell. Surely not fully, but enough to get you by in a pinch. Won’t find that on a Dewalt work lightâyou’d have to spend another $40.Ideal task light under a car hood. Serviceable hands-free road flare. Portable attic light or electrical panel emergency light. Camping tent light and outhouse finder. Cell savior. Plain old flashlight too, but without the leaky dead wasted D-cells.One of the coolest tools I own.

When I initially saw this light, the first thing that came to mind was, “what use would a telescoping magnet be on something this bulky?”. And that criticism still stands. But in every other respect, I’m actually quite happy with this hand light.It has both a hook and a big magnet on the back, so hanging it from whatever item you’re working on or around is very easy. The light is bright (as LEDs generally are), and the multiple modes and 2 colors make it useful for a few different applications. You coudl keep this in your car, and it would be handy for fixing a flat or other problem at night, use as an emergency light with the red color mode, or to use while camping as a hanging lamp, just to give a few examples that spring to mind.The best part so far is the battery life though. I’ve got quite a few rechargeable hand and head lights that I use while working on stuff in my garage, and this one definitely has the longest battery life of all of them. I’ve used it on high for over 7 hours, and it still had plenty of juice. I have yet to make the battery die, though I generally plug it in once I’m done messing around with stuff for the day, so I’m not sure exactly how long it will last, but it’s basically a full work day’s time for sure.At $22 at the time of review, it isn’t the least expensive hand light out there, but it blows every other one I’ve tried out of the water in terms of battery life, which honestly I consider the most important aspect of a light like this. I have no complaints, but I AM still curious who needs a telescoping magnet attached to something this bulky. I would buy this light with my own money.

I love this tourch, the light is really good it doesn’t have to much button press to get off, strong magnet, has a hook built in, and the pick up magnet is a great idea, thanks ðð
