I just received the bowls, and so far I like them. I had some Sur La Table Bistro 9″ bowls (currently available on Amazon) which I loved that unfortunately got broken. They were perfect for the meal-size salads favored by Nutritarians. These bowls were my prime day replacement at about a third of the price. The shape is similar, though the LIVFER bowls are only 2 1/2″ deep compared to 3″ for the Bistro bowls — not quite as big as I would have preferred, but a nice size nonetheless. As others have noted, these bowls are slightly cream in color, while the Bistro bowls are a pure white porcelain. For those people who are trying to find Corelle bowls in this size, Ikea has Corelle-like 9″ white glass bowls in the Oftast line, also 3″ deep. The great thing about the shape of these bowls, besides their graceful appearance, is that all three brands nest compactly together, saving space in your cupboard.

Oh my! I had no idea they would be so enormous! I was looking for salad/cereal bowls. These are best for a family salad dish or a dinner of noodles with other contents.

These bowls are perfect, exactly what I was looking for. They are huge, nice and thick/sturdy, and dishwasher friendly. All-in-all a great purchase, I highly recommend them if you are looking for larger bowls.

I have been looking for a 48 oz bowl size forever. The only ones they seem to carry at the stores around here are melamine, and I wanted porcelain. I didn’t want them too large, but large enough to hold a ‘meal’ worth of soup or salad (which is generally enough quantity to fill a person up- 16 oz bowls won’t cut it).The bowl had to be both microwaveable and dishwasher safe. Leadfree and non-toxic. What I most wanted were Corelle-type glass bowls this size, but they do not come this large. My other criteria was that it was not a ‘deep’ bowl, because they take up so much dishwasher space face down, these are shallow enough to be stackable in the dishwasher stacks.I ‘measured’ them against the melamine bowls I had that were falling apart, and the volume of water it holds is the same. They are well made from what I can see, no chips or cracks visible upon receipt. You can’t tell how well fired/annealed they are until you get a chip, and I haven’t had them long enough or banged them into things to determine that, but they look pretty stable.The finish is not perfectly smooth like glassware, they are porcelain, and there is a bit of roughness in the finish… smoother than sandstone obviously, but not smooth as glass, which fine porcelain typically is. These are not fine porcelain.The color is not pure white, they are off-white, but do not look terribly out of place in my cupboard full of white corelle glass bowls and plates. It doesn’t matter, after looking in stores for literally 10 years, I could not find this exact size. So I’m thrilled I could find them at Amazon.The weight is what you’d expect from porcelain. A bit lighter than stoneware, but not as light (because not as thin) as corelle. They are lighter than pyrex bowls of the same size, because they are thinner. Pyrex glass this size always have that ‘mixing bowl’ lip, which just don’t look like anything you can eat out of, even if you can serve in them. And the weight matters when lugging a full bowl of liquid too.These are NOT hot to the touch after microwaving. Just to be sure, I filled a bowl 1/2 with water and microwaved it just now. Top above the water was cool, the part holding liquid was hot, as you’d expect.What’s not to like? I can’t think of anything. I like these, and if I need more, I will buy more. The price is higher than for pyrex, I would not pay more than this price for these, but it is a fair price. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, and they are perfect for my needs.

These are amazing. Pricey, but worth it. They are huge and fit a bus load of pasta, which is what we wanted them for. Because if you’re going to eat pasta, you need to eat a bus load, amirite? Washed em in the dishwasher with no issues and am looking forward to many more excessively large spaghetti dinners to come.
