Great AC
In one months usage I find it great for heating purpose in winter, and also hope that cooling will also be equally good in summers. Its FAR BETTER in heating performance as compared to my Daikin AC.Looks are also good and the indoor unit is quiet, but outdoor unit has some appreciable noise which is not there in other ACs, got to get it checked, maybe its due vibrations because of improper isolation at pedestals.As for power consumption, I haven’t measured it yet

Bad cooling performance
EDIT 21.05.2024: Now we have summer and hot one in Delhi NCR so I can test itâs cooling and the AC has has disappointed me a big way as it is not able to cool a completely sealed room even with a temperature set to 16 degree and using powerful mode. The temperature drops to mere 30 degree in the room from 36 degree without ac. And thatâs too up to 2 feet distance from indoor unit ac air vent. I call it a total failure of Panasonic ac. We have 10 years old voltas window unit which chill the room within 20 minutes but this Panasonic ac can run for hours and not able to cool the room, forget about chilling it. Never seen such a worst ac performance in my life. With such experience I once again downgrading the rating to 1 star from 3 stars.Beside that I have to call service twice about water leakage from indoor unit and thereafter water blockage and smell coming about as a result of blocked water, these are service related issues so the service was not done carefully and have to face issue.So far not satisfied with the performance of the Panasonic ac.EDIT 15.02.2024: Panasonic has seen by review and contacted me for the resolving the issues I have mentioned in my original review mentioned below.They have solved the issue about the Google Assistant so now I can connect to this AC with Google Assistant. Though the connectivity is there but the presently we can control power on and off as well as the change the temperature only. I have given the feedback to Panasonic about the changing modes and Panasonic has assured me that changing of modes will be available in the next updates as well.Panasonic has seen, responded to the review, resolved it and committed to improve made a positive impression on me and therefore I would like to change from 1 star rating to 3 stars rating. I have seen two app updates which has brought AI mode for heat mode as well, so I understand that Panasonic do respond to the suggestion as well. So guys, if you have a logical suggestion, feel free to tell it to Panasonic and if it is possible and made sense for the product, most likely they will include it. This is a positive aspect of Panasonic.Further suggestions to Panasonic are:1) I hope, Panasonic will resolve the inclusion of modes change using Google Assistant in near future. I also hope that MirAIe App will support Apple devices using Siri which is also required by family using mixed devices in our household.2) Furthermore, Panasonic can provide Open-Source Home Automation projects such as Home Assistant which will further enhance the integration to other platforms from which Panasonic AC can be controlled and truly become a part of an automated home.3) Please provide an email id where you can actually see the feedback and respond to it. Not everyone writes a review on Amazon, I myself written few emails which were not responded but only after I wrote an Amazon review, I got your attention so this is a place where you can improve and I hope, you will.Original Review:This hot and cold has many issues as follows:1. After electricity resumes after poor cut, sometimes the ac switch from ‘heat’ mode to ‘auto’ mode on its own which is cold mode of the ac. Poor logic whoever wrote program for the ac.I registered complaint, the service guy came, recorded videos and took all information after failing to fix the same. I knew, it’s firmware issue but they said it is hardware. Offered to change the pcb board which i refused because the ac was only few days old. Then i got call from technical department and had discussion with their technical engineer, being engineer myself I described the issue and proposed them the solution, which was to correct the firmware of the ac and release it, which will be updated via the app which he said okay we will look into the issue. No call or email after that, then I received the call from service vendor of panasonic that my replacement unit has come and will be installed. Whole episode took 21 days!2. Another issue is, the ac does not support either Google Assistant or Alexa and this is the false advertisement of the Panasonic. This is common issue with other people too which you can find on internet. It always shows offline even though it works with Miraie app so don’t waste your money if you want to use it with Google assistant or Alexa, it will work on Miraie app only! I wrote few emails to Panasonic Miraie support team but they never respond. Panasonic should fire their team if they fail to deliver which they promise, I would have done it.3. Miraie app is feature less and only basic features has been provided, the app has not been enhanced in the last 3 year and only updated without adding anything in last 3 years. It does not show if ac is in standby or running, it shows only that it is connected to Wi-Fi in the app. The app also does not show hour breakout of the power consumption.4. Noisy outdoor unit compared to other company.5. Plastic quality doesn’t seem better.6. Indoor unit doesn’t have horizontal swing and only vertical swing has been provided.7. IR remote instead of bluetooth remote so it is not updated when ac has been controlled by app. So, if you turned off ac using app, and it was on in the remote, you have to press on button on remote twice, first to turn it off and then on. They could have made it Bluetooth like smart TV at this price point.Overall, the ac is working though it is slow in doing it and noisy. The promised google assistant and Alexa connectivity is not working so it is false promise from a Japanese company, and quality of material have gone down. If they can’t provide what they have advertise, amazon should remove their products and we must be able to go to the court. Gone are the days when Japanese companies used to deliver excellent products, Japanese should not hand over the leadership to Indian team’s as they are not competent enough or not listening to the customer as usual and destroying Japanese brand.

A non Inverter AC but branded and sold as Inverter
Edit: ADD: 22-6-24I have been following up with Panasonic Service Center and the corporate office as well. They simply close the complaint without me sharing an OTP with them, stating that AC is working OK. They have maintained a stand that their product has been designed to cut off the compressor after having achieved the temperature. Which is not true for Inverter AC. However, now since yesterday the AC has started misbehaving further. Now, no matter what temperature you set on the unit, the unit will continue to drop temperature to uncomfortable levels in night. Which means it is not adhering to the set temp on the indoor unit.However, while using the AI mode it works find and finds an auto temperature setting. Panasonic wants me to use AI mode only to suit it to my need. I found this justification outrageous and improper as how can I only use AI mode and not use the regular remote for features? My family cant access to AI mode when I am out with my mobile. Nor my parents are equipped to handle the smart features.Panasonic has been trying to vile away from the problems with the unit and no one responds to service calls.Please do not buy a Panasonic product. Their product and service sucks and you are left alone to deal with it.Buying this AC was one of the worst decision. I’ve paid a premium for Panasonic as a brand and expected it to deliver quality.It’s so unfortunate that the AC is not an inverter AC, it cuts off the compressor and fan even before reaching to set temperature. Ideally speaking the inverter AC never cuts off, it only reduces the compressor speed. I have had Sharp 1.2 ton AC for last 10 years and it never use to switch off in between, providing a comfortable sleep.This Panasonic ac keeps tripping every 10 mins causing suffocating feeling in the room.Also, the AC does not connect to Alexa and Google assistant directly. It needs to be essential linked with Mireal app and even after that the AC can only perform basic on off functions.My experience is very poor and I would not recommend buying Panasonic ac. I have SHARP being installed for last 10 years, recently installed Samsung 1.5 in other room and both inverter AC works like a charm and does not create discomfort at all.Guys take this feedback in account before buying so that you can avoid sleepless nights
