Excelente aparato. No he podido encontrar la proporción.

Ever since I have met my wife my entire way of cooking has had to change. She has celiacs disease and it is so bad she can’t even touch regular flour without it entering her bloodstream…I used to think going Gluten Free was for Gwenyth Paltrow and her goop troop. But I have adjusted and just simply gotten used to eating crappy pasta. Because let’s face it….gluten free pasta sucks.Until now.I ended up buying this because making Italian food is one of my favorite dishes to make…I miss the flour everywhere…I miss the warm pasta feel as you make it etc. But with gluten free pasta I was hovering dangerously close between cardboard and pasta so heavy that it would make some unladen Jewish bread seem like a chewy treat.****THE REVIEW***When I unboxed this thing I had my doubts. How in the hell was this thing going to make any kind of decent pasta. But my wife was excited again for pasta and so we just went for it. Pictured above is actually our first batch. You can literally still see the box and instructions on the right. Our first batch came out literally perfect. We used King Authors 1:1 gluten free flour. We ate a couple of noodles straight off that rack and they were amazing. Even better with some homemade sauce we had made just prior.FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY AS IT IS WRITTEN IN THE PASTA MAKING KITand for people like me that ignore that sentence because we know better let me say it againFOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY AS IT IS WRITTEN IN THE PASTA MAKING KITI seriously can’t express this enough. Our second batch I decided I knew better. I changed the ratio based off another recipe I had been making hand made pasta with…put that recipe into the maker and it was total garbage…the first noodles to come out were almost as good as the first ones…then the ratio was off and not enough liquid for the rest of the flour and it ended up blocking up the mixer. I ended up throwing out the batch. I tried again using more eggs then what my recipe called for and the noodles weren’t garbage ready but they were not the caliber I am used to serving in my house to guests…and then I went back to the recipe as it is on the website using the flour weight instead of cup measurements…and voila! Back to perfect noodles.again…shouting warningWEIGH YOUR FLOUR. DO NOT PACK IT INTO A MEASURING CUP…seriously. I did this wrong twice and forgot another time…your end result will almost always tell you how you messed up…now if Philips could make a fridge warning me I am putting the cereal into it instead of the milk I would appreciate it.Clean up is not so much fun…but seriously when is it ever…there is flour, egg, and mess everywhere and in every nook and cranny…while it is fairly easy to take apart and put back together…if you miss anything…the next time you take it out though it will be as if you left concrete inside of your machine. We have owned it about a month now and we have made 11 batches of pasta and only 3 were horrible…and all of those were my mistake. If you want gluten free pasta (I am sure regular pasta too but there is so much good pasta out there why make your own) that tastes amazing…with the ability to make almost ANY kind of pasta (lemon pepper pasta and tomato basil are our favorites so far) I seriously cannot recommend this enough.

Let me begin by saying I did not receive this product for free in exchange for a review, in fact, the reason that I am leaving this review is because the product is still relatively new and there aren’t many reviews out there that aren’t written by some guy who got the product for free or is getting paid to review it… I’m hoping that my review will help those of you who are planning on purchasing one of these. This is the mini compact version of the very highly reviewed original size pasta maker by Philips, and this machine is magical. The pasta is delicious, the machine is easy enough to clean, but most importantly… it’s really fun. You add the flour in, start the machine, and trickle in your liquids… then bam, pasta! Ignore the other reviewers who are adding the egg with the flour… they didn’t read the instructions or watch any of the videos available online. You’re supposed to slowly add the liquids through the little clear lid at the top once the flour is thoroughly mixed. Obviously it matters less if you’re using just one type of flour, but if you use semolina and all-purpose combination for example, it would result in weird chunky pasta if you don’t wait until the flour is mixed before you add in the liquid. The instructions are important to read through when you are assembling and disassembling the machine, as there are a lot of little details that you’ll need to pay attention to or the parts might not fit properly. Everything was incredibly easy to wash, just wait for it to dry and then grab a safety pin or thumb tack and poke out the dough left in the shaping disc. Give everything a rinse, and then pack it away for next time. You can make a single batch of ~250 g of pasta, or double it for a max of 450 g of pasta per cycle. That’s 50 g less than the larger original version of the pasta maker but in my opinion, 450 g of pasta is plenty and you’re really not going to notice the 50 g difference unless you’re trying to feed 5 to 6 people, in which case you might as well just run two cycles. One thing you should keep in mind is you need to wait 30 min between each cycle in order for the motor to cool so you don’t overheat it. I didn’t know that when I bought it, but it doesn’t bug me. We made 450 g of pasta and my fiance and I each had a big bowl for dinner with enough left over for both of us to take for lunch tomorrow (4 to 5 servings)! The only downside to getting this machine right now is the lack of extra discs available for this model, as the discs for the larger original model won’t fit this compact version. Philips customer service promised me the extra discs are coming soon, and they even have a promotional video on YouTube where the compact machine is using a lasagna disc, despite the lasagna one not being available yet… so be assured the other shape discs are coming soon. I’ll be one of the first to buy them!

It was purchased at amazon.sg (Singapore). The country uses 220V/50Hz. The product is 120V/60Hz.There is no mention on product description about the voltage. Zero warnings on the purchasing process. How come?

I agree with the other positive review; ignore the review where it says the design causes it to clog; it doesn’t.Read the instructions carefully. Pour in the liquid slowly. Make sure the mixture is like sandy clumps. The humidity of your surrounding also matters.I’ve used it almost 10 times now, and the machine has worked beautifully. The times when the noodles come out too wet or dry were when I was experimenting. The cleaning is super easy. Only minimal amount of dough is stuck to the parts and come off easily. It literally takes me maybe 5 minutes to clean all the components.Tips: if you are unsure hydration level, add in the liquid slowly. If noodles come out too dry, stop + reset the machine, throw the noodles back in, start the mixing, and add in more liquid. If dough is too wet and it starts becoming one blob clinging to the the parts inside, then stop + reset the machine, take dough out, break into smaller parts, throw them back in, add in more flour, re-start the mixing. The mixture should resemble wet sandy clumps.
