Mobile App Configuration
Go to Smart life app → Click “+” on top right corner → Power ON the Protium Switch & reset it (Refer instruction manual to reset ) → In “Add Manually” Tab select “Electrician” section and Click “Switch (Wi-Fi)” → click “Confirm indicator rapidly blink” → Input Your wifi password (SSID will be auto selected) → Click “Confirm” → After successful adding the device, rename it as per your Choice. → Start to control now.

Alexa Configuration
Open “Alexa” App & Search Skill “Smart life” → Click “Enable to Use” → Enter Your Smart Life account Credentials → Click “Link Now” → click “Authorize” to give authorization to amazon account → After successful Linking of account Discover the devices → Start to control your devices by voice now.
Google Home Configuration
Open “Home” App & Click on “Setup Device” and select “Have Something already set up?” → Click “Enable to Use” → Enter Your Smart Life account Credentials → Click “Link Now” → click “Authorize” to give authorization to Google account → After successful Linking of account Discover the devices → Start to control your devices by voice now.
IFTTT Configuration
Open “IFTTT” App → Search “Smart Life” → Click “Connect” → Enter Your Smart Life account Credentials → Click “Link Now” → click “Authorize” to give authorization to IFTTT account → After successful Linking of account → It will show some Applets, You may choose by selecting “connect” or create new as per your choice.

1. Q: Cannot connect to Smart Life APP?
A: Check if the connected WiFi is 2.4GHz. If your router broadcasts 2.4GHz and 5GHz network, please completely turn off the 5GHz network by going to your router settings. The device amount connected to the router shouldn’t exceed its load.
Try to keep your switch close to your phone and router as far as possible.
2. Q: The MAC address filtering is opened on your router. How to find the MAC address of your device?
A: Turn off the MAC address filtering, connect your device to Smart Life APP. You can find the MAC address in the Device Information after successful connection.
3. Q: Cannot sync with Alexa?
A: Check if the bound Smart Life Account on Alexa APP is the same as the Smart Life APP’s. Make sure the network connection of Alexa works normally.
4. Q: Device Auto On/OFF?
A: it is because Connected Router is not configured in IPV4 internet settings, Please Re configure your router & bind the device MAC address.
5. How to Test the Device by any Other Network ?.
A: Connect Your phone to any other Phone’s hotspot network → Reset and Add the Device to Mobile app using hotspot network’s password. → After adding successfully, → Test the device working → If it works then turn off mac filtering in your wifi Router, reset and add device again with your Wifi router.
6. Q: The device cannot connect to Wifi after a period of use. How to reset the device?
A: Long press ON/OFF button for 5-7s to reset the switch until its LED starts quickly blinking.
7. Q: How to check device whether it is okay or not. ?
A: Make One Spare Mobile as Hotspot and Connect Your mobile (having Smart life app) to this “Hotspot ” Network and Reset the Switch and add device as per manual (If the device connected by this method please send your wifi Router details to
our support team they will help to bind the mac address in your router.)

1. 16A /20A 30A capacity of the switch is based on resistive Maximum load, If you are using inductive /or capacitive load please check the details of appliance connected to the switch before using these devices.
2. Wrong connection may cause short circuit.

Best Economical16Amp Switch yet
Absolutely economical solution for heavy appliances. Setup was a charm. You ofcourse need electrician help if you’re not equipped to handle heavy wiring from MCB etc. But the device setup was so easy. It works perfectly and integration with Alexa was auto. By the time i finished installing the switch Alexa gave notification of new device and configuration was simple. This happens only if you have smart life app and devices and already logged in to alexa skill using the smart life ac.if you want to conceal switch you can’t have manual on/off as the switch is on the device. May be there’s a parallel i need to give but haven’t tried that yet. I’m currently using 3 switches 2 for my 1.5 ton ACs and one for 1hp sump pump. All work perfectly.Only thing left is the durability of the device. If it can do 3-4 years then this is the best value for money device ever. Similar 16A switch for my 1.5hp compressor motor runs on smarteefi switch. It coated 2499 but that has an indigenous app and frequent updates and brilliant customer service backup. Still it’s around 1900 bucks expensive. So overall best device at this price range for me. You get 1yr warranty. But have to see how warranty process works. So as said only thing that can go wrong with this is if the device is not durable. Will update after few months of use. Go for it.

Update : I tried purchasing same item, they have replaced original item with a smaller item. I was not able to use the new item . Because the new one is smaller and has 6 wire connections. I only needed 3.Originally I used one for incoming and outgoing. Third one was ground/neutral line probably used for powering of the device itself.So I bought this new item. I wanted to replace the switch .. didnât work with 3 wire combinations. Earlier there used to be a larger product with only 3 wire points .. so no confusion.All in all .. I have new item from 6 months and 3 year old item still working properly. But I canât buy the original one for which I wrote the review. Model number is same but seller is selling new item. Not recommended for replacing switches like it used to work with old version of protium not mini switch .I bought this to automate water pump at home for delhi jal board water which was a pain for my mom to wake early.It is so cool ðMy smart bulb died in 3 monthsBut this fellow is still working. Thanks to my mom she turns off its power supply when water gets filled and most probably remains off the grid and this might have increased its life. I usually turn this at night so that the automation or timer would work in the morning,I made a video and circulated with friends office fellows. But no one used though.Highly recommended gadget. I can sleep in the morning without a fuss . Sometimes I boast when neighbors donât have water because they overslept ð

Not that smart, gone off in 1 month!
The switch takes a minute or two to catch wifi but works as expected. Right now I am using it within 6 feet of the modem and still it takes around a couple of minutes to catch wifi. I don’t think it will work if I put it inside the switchboard. Another thing that worried me a lot-the openings where the wires need to be inserted. The load and the source wires for 16A load will be minimum 2.5 sqmm. But the openings aren’t that much liberal to house a 2.5sqmm Or a 4 sqmm wire. So i had to do a workaround to bypass that problem. Other than that, the switch works as expected. The app setup is also a cakewalk. Will update about its longevity in future.Update 1: The switch is catching wifi but not responding to remote operations. Contacted customer support on whatsApp. Had to fill in a google form and then send the device to their registered address. But issues were redressed and the device was repaired.Update 2: The device since repaired is going strong. One thing that i noticed is – Even if there is no wifi connectivity, the device switches on and off as per schedule. So far tested for 12 days continuously and still going.Update 3: If u want to use smart switches and other accessories, please make sure you don’t have Jiofiber at home. If you have Jiofiber, you won’t be able to enjoy remote connection feature of this product. Shift immediately to Airtel or Bsnl.Update 4: The repaired device has gone off again. Not pairing with the router.More updates in future.

This product is working fine.Only enhancement I would suggest is when you open the app you cannot understated the switch is ON/OFF. You have to touch the switch and open then you can understand whether the switch is ON or OFF.If you can show some indication in the app first screen itself whether switch is ON/OFF the it will be very useful to users.For example if you have 50 switches in your home then by just opening the app itself you can get to know which are the switches ON or OFF. Right this feature is not available with this switch we to open all these 50 switches one by one to know the status of the switches.

The product is rated for 16A but I don’t know why, now the module exploded and the capacitors inside it is seen broaken and shattered. Of course it worked perfectly well for a few months. The module was connected to control a motor.
