Best router

Not that impressive as speculated or shown!!!
 The looks of the router gives the feeling of a pretty gaming router. Though it’s wifi speed is amazing, but the range of the wifi is quite low, compared to other routers. I previously had to link Archer c6. This router provides 1-2 Mbps more speed than tp link Archer c6, but in terms of range, this router is far behind tp link. The beam forming technology doesn’t works as it should. It always disconnects or even after showing the signal, it doesn’t works. The user interface is much better than tp link for me. If you need wifi range and good speed both, you can go for tp link Archer c6, but if u want good speed and good looks and good interface with a low bootup time, then go for this tenda AC10.

Tenda AC10 Router â A Router that is completely Unstable!!
I am not sure whether this situation faced is one of a kind. But I am sure that it is not one of a kind and its basically an issue with the design. Here is my experience.Internet Connection: ACT 200 MbpsPrevious Router: Netgear WNR614 N300 Router (Bought in 2016 â Works still well)WiFi Devices: 3 Laptops, 5 PhonesWired Device: 1 DesktopTotal Devices: 9I was using this Netgear Router and it is working perfectly well with WiFi speeds upto 60Mbps anywhere in a good reception. But the only issue I faced with this router is that the signal strength is very less. I cannot use it at the end of my room in Ground Floor. But was satisfied with the optimum performance. I wanted to upgrade to a Gigabit router since my existing Netgear Router supports only till 100Mbps. I am literally wasting another 100Mbps from ACT since the old router does not support. So with so much research and curiosity I got Tenda AC10 because it dropped to a price level of Rs. 2600 or so from Rs. 3600.Got the router setup. Signal Strength was Great. As promised the Signals were the best. I was able to get 150Mbps in 5GHz in Ground floor with the router being in the First floor. The Turbulence started right here. Whatever Voice Calls I do, through WhatsApp or through Cisco Webex in my work laptops everything gets interrupted. There was no stable Voice Connection. Noticed this was getting worse when someone sees a YouTube video in the network. Trust me I have never had this issue in my 100Mbps Router which I have been using for 4 Years.Replaced the Router. Another new Router came in. Connected with hopes. Still the same issue. WhatsApp calls and everything gets disconnected. In-between I spoke with their Tech Support and I felt all my years in IT industry was a real wastage and he treated me like a 1st Grade student with no tech experience. He never understood or even believed my issue at the first place.Troubleshooting:I upgraded the Firmware â Still the Issue persistedDowngraded the Firmware â Still the Issue persistedDisconnected all the devices & connected only my Work Laptop â Still the issue persistedEnabled Maximum Bandwidth Allocation(QOS) to my iPhone – Still the issue persistedPros:Excellent WiFi Connection. My house is a 2 Storey and it works excellent. I believe it should give you at-least 3 Bars of WiFi signals in a 3 Storey house too. Havenât checked though. (5 Star*****)Cons:No Stable Internet Connection at all for Voice CallsA 1K Router which I am using for 4 Years is still able to perform Miracle with just 100Mbps ConnectionNo Tech Support at All!!!!So I would never suggest this Router to anyone who wants to set this device as a Base Router. But if you want to use this Router as a Repeater to another Gigabit Router, then you can go for it. But I have not tested it in that mode yet. Again for something this price I would suggest this is not an expected Router.On the other hand, I got a TP Link Archer C6 and this is working like a beast. Its been 5 days now. Too early to comment. For those confused between Tenda AC10 and TP Link A6.
It’s a detailed review after almost about an month.I have a 40 Mbps plan currently , but as to future proof it for Gbps lines, I bought this router.Router looks amazing and something everyone would ask u about.This router has a very good range, no doubt about it but it fails big time to deliver speeds over 2.4 GHz band on mobiles and tablets. It works on laptops very well. Don’t know why this is happening but this is how it is. Even when u are getting 60-70% signal strength , speed would be abysmally low.While 5ghz band is just about super, if u are getting even 1 signal , expect 15 20 Mbps speeds.I ordered a replacement unit, and even that had same issue. No issues whatsoever on 5 GHz. Don’t fall for special ‘BLADE Antenna’ and everything.Hence, it failed to provide a reliable coverage over 2.5 GHz.After that, I purchased a TP Link Archer A6, used it as my main router and connected this tenda ac10 in Repeater mode, placing it somewhere high up as to repeat the 5ghz signal from tp link. As Tenda 5ghz is better than any other router, that way I am able to cover my entire home with 5ghz itself.I would therefore recommend it to be used by those gamers or users whose usage is limited to the room where u place ur router in, don’t expect a stable connection over 2.4 GHz mode. For that blindly go with Tp Link Archer A6.To sum it all up,Pros:Great looks.Amazing 5ghz coverage.Works excellent in repeater/access point mode over 5ghz to further expand ur coverage.Cons:Unreliable and unstable 2.5 GHz even though coverage is good.Blade antenna and gigahertz chipset are gimmicks.The model itself has inherent issue with 2.5 GHz , even replacement would not work great.Overall , I would rather recommend Tp Link Archer A6.

The directions were minimal, but that was all that was needed. I liked the tech support number was included in the packaging, but it wasn’t required.
