Wi-Fi 6 Upgrades Everything
What is Wi-Fi 6? (as known as AX WiFi)
Wi-Fi 6 is the next generation standard in WiFi technology. Wi-Fi 6 also known as “AX WiFi” or “802.11ax WiFi” builds and improves on the current 802.11ac WiFi standard. Wi-Fi 6 was originally built in response to the growing number of devices in the world. If you own a VR device, multiple smart home devices, or simply have a large number of devices in your household, then a Wi-Fi 6 router might just be the best WiFi router for you.
Why you need Wi-Fi 6?
Demands for more wireless devices
Increasing bandwidth requirements
Heavier interference between APs
What Wi-Fi 6 can bring you?
Larger Capacity: UL/DL MU-MIMO, OFDMA
Improved Performance: 1024-QAM, Longer OFDM Symbol
Greater Efficiency: BSS Coloring, Target Wake Time
WiFi 5 vs. WiFi 6: Speed
Each generation of WiFi increases WiFi speeds. So does WiFi 6, though this is not its primary goal. The nominal data rates are raised up to 9.6 Gbps, around 40% higher than that of WiFi 5.
WiFi 5 vs. WiFi 6: Efficiency
Performance in crowded networks is ultimately WiFi 6’s signature feature. Also known as “High-Efficiency WiFi,” WiFi 6 shines brightest in device-dense environments like corporate offices, shopping malls, and dense residential apartments. While the nominal data rate improvement against WiFi 5 is around 40%, the overall throughput improvement over an entire network is 300% This also translates to 75% lower latency. WiFi 6 also maintains steady top speeds while connected to many devices simultaneously, even where previous WiFi versions would stumble.
WiFi 5 vs. WiFi 6: Battery Life
Target Wake Time (TWT) allows devices to negotiate when and how often they wake up to send or receive data. This feature increases device sleep time and substantially improves battery life for mobile and IoT devices.
Worldwide adoption of WiFi 6 devices?
WiFi 6 is seeing broad adoption in WLAN markets . According to IDC Q3 2021 Tracker, In the consumer WLAN market, WiFi 6 products continued to grow, rising to make up 27.9% of the consumer segment’s total revenue, up from 24.5% in Q2 2021. In the enterprise WLAN market, WiFi 6 APs made up 62.2% of the revenues

Budget friendly Router for multiple devices at home
Pros :-1. Quick hassle-free setup2. Great Build3. Lightweight4. Vibrant Black finish5. Faster boot up time6. Extremely faster network speed across all connected device without latency7. Consistent and reliable connectivity across prolonged period of time8. Highly recommended for Gaming and streaming9. Backward compatibility for 2.4 Ghz devices is such a great deal10. WPA3 encryption is top notch11. WiFi 6 – the latest in the spectrum (well, almost)12. Reaches almost equal to service providers speed when tested with Speed Test (sometimes exceeds too)Cons :-1. Router heats up a lot (expected behavior for the product)2. 5 Ghz bands distance is too short since the connected device goes into 2.4 Ghz once we move further away from the routerVerdict :-Best of the best in the market for home usage with multiple device connectivity without latency.Highly recommended to go for it without any second thoughts!Thank you TP-Link for creating this spectacular product!

Best dual band router under 10k but comes with some limitations
Undoubtedly this router Archer AX73 is best in its segment for both speed and performance. I connected around 20+ devices (1 via ethernet and all others via WiFi) and there was no lag at all. I am getting full Wifi signal for both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz in all corners of my apartment (1400 sq feet). Find below the pros and cons:Pros:1. Triple core CPU coupled with 512 RAM which easily supports multiple devices2. On 130 Mbps connection I achieved 130 Mbps (download and upload) via ethernet cable. The download and upload speed via Wifi is around 124 Mbps download and 126 Mbps upload respectively. The speed is almost same in 2.4 GHz and 5GHz.3. Minimal heating.4. Full signal in all corners of a 3BHK apartment. I am on 2nd floor and I can get signal in garage as well.5. It supports WPA3 and so is more secure.6. Notification for new device connection if Tether app is installed on mobile device.7. Devices can be blacklisted by ip or mac address.Cons:1. LED lights could have been brighter. I just can’t see them during day time.2. Home Shield is a marketing gimmick and is completely a paid service. It includes Intrusion Detection, Protection from Malicious Sites, IoT protection. For that we need to pay 489 extra monthly or around 5800 yearly. On top of this if you include VPN service then it will cost 12600 yearly.3. Missing DDOS protection which is present in all routers of Netgear and Asus. Unfortunately for this router this feature is part of Security+ subscription.Other than this there are no such issues and is great router. For those who are saying it is generating heat please note it is a triple core router and some heat is expected which is normal. And if you are getting less speed over 2.4 GHz signal then make sure you turn off Air Time Fairness option under additional setting and set the frequency to only 40Hz.

Absolutely buggy firmware and weak signal – AVOID PURCHASING THIS!
UPDATE:After about a year of use, I can confirm that most of the issues I had listed earlier are resolved with the recent firmware updates, and I’m therefore bumping the rating to 4 stars.OneMesh is now supported, and the frequent disconnection issue has drastically gone down. The only continuing issue now is the relatively weaker signal strength even when it is set to ‘highest’ power setting, compared to my earlier 2-antennae routers. But another new issue I wish to highlight: If you are considering getting an extender for this, note that despite Wi-Fi 6 devices being around for a while now, the AX extenders are still exorbitantly priced, and you might be forced to get a Wi-Fi 5 (AC) extender, which defeats the whole purpose of getting a Wi-Fi 6 router in the first place.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I decided to go for this model of TP-Link router because of its Wi-Fi 6 capabilities despite some ominous warnings posted in some reviews. And this purchase turned out to be an unmitigated disaster! Let me list some of the terrible experiences I have faced using this router.1) The 5GHz band fails more often than it works, and if you have a typical Indian house with cement & stone walls, make sure you aren’t more than 1 wall away from the router. My router is placed in one room adjoining a central hall. The central room gets the 5 GHz signal, but the other rooms surrounding this central hall barely get a sliver of 5 GHz once in a while, but even if I manage to connect, my devices lose the connection within a couple of minutes.2) Now, talking of the other band, i.e. 2.4 GHz: As surprising as it might seem, despite the 4 antennas to make you believe the signal is powerful, it is not! My old Digisol router with 2 antenna had better coverage around the house that this piece of junk. I now get just 2 (out of 4) bars of signal in rooms in the same locations where I used to get 3 bars with my old 2-antenna router. And even then there are frequent disconnections.3) This brings me to the other (and the biggest) issue with the router: unbearably frequent Wi-Fi disconnections. Even though the router has been configured correctly, the WiFi (both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands) keeps dropping once every 20 or so minutes on good days, and at least once every minute on other days. When I run the network troubleshooters on the laptops, I get the diagnosis either as “The default gateway is not available” or “Problem with wireless adapter or access point”. Initially, I wasn’t sure what the issue was, but once I started browsing the TP-Link forum, I realized this is a common issue faced by users, but TP-Link continues to sell this garbage despite knowing how terrible it is! Just to clarify, I have already updated the firmware to the latest version as they recommend, but it does not seem to be helping (like for so many other people on that forum too). Turning the router off and on only resolves the issue for a few minutes and then it goes back to its old ways. Interestingly, the internet is fine if you connect to the LAN ports; it is just the wireless that seems to be completely messed up.To list some pros and summarize this review…PRO:* Value for money for a Wi-Fi 6 device (at least when it works) since Wi-Fi 6 is the future and you would be better off buying Wi-Fi 6 routers instead of Wi-Fi 5 moving forward* The Tether app of TP-Link makes it a breeze to set up the router* While some people have reported heating issues, I have not seen this on my device; it actually stays cool even after prolonged usageCON:* 5 GHz band is a joke and has terrible range* 2.4 GHz band is actually weaker than many 2-antenna routers irrespective of the antenna positions* Firmware is terrible and you can expect frequent disconnections of internet in your devices connected to this router* No OneMesh support for nowAll in all, strongly recommend everyone to avoid this router at all cost. FWIW, I have a BSNL ONT connected to this router with a 100 Mbps connection. BSNL ironically recommends (Chinese) TP-Link to be the most compatible router for their FTTH connections, but even then, go for some other TP-Link router instead of this.

Superou todas as minhas expectativas!

Works perfectly! I liked some of the controls on my old netgear app and it will take a bit to get used to. The thing I like is that the router doesnât drop Wi-Fi for no reason. Much better than my old R7000.
