WIFI extension box
I bought this for TV automation.I plugged in the Alexa echo, TV , speaker, jio STB etc..So just by a voice command the TV will switch ON. So it serves the purpose finely.This box listen only to 2.4Ghz and Wipro smart* app need to be installed to do reset or reconfigure if u change WIFI password etc..Its been more than 6 months, like every other electronic devices , sometime it goes unresponsive. A simple power on/off will make it works.So far no issues.

Good quality with better features
Product looks good and quality is good. But the shutters inside the socket is not flexible enough to easily insert the plug. But its ok. If youâre frequently plugging and unplugging the plug, then i am not sure about the durability of shutter inside the socketFeature i am enjoying1. Works well with alexa2. Individual control for each socket as well as with physical button / voice command, all 4 sockets can be controlled in single command3. Scheduled power on / off ( available for each socket on weekly/daily basis schedules)4. Count down timer for power on / power off (available for each socket)5. Power usage monitoring for the power strip. But this feature is not available for individual socket. monitors the usage on entire power stripCons:1. Build quality could have been better (especially shutters inside the socket)2. When controlled with voice commands using alexa, some time alexa is getting response from power strip which alexa was not able to understand due to that alexa will say I couldnât understand that. But it will socket will turn on.Overall this is good product. If the price of this product is around 1000 its very good value for money. Since not much smat power extension boxes are available in market this is fine

It died within a month
I purchased this to auto switch on my chargers at fixed schedule. It worked well for about 35 days. After that it went offline and never came alive. It’s power/reset button also doesn’t do anything. Wipro has no service centers, only dealers who handle these problems. And we have to take it to them for verification.I’ll update after going through this process. BTW, Wipro doesn’t have any complaint registration module and they say that someone will continue within 5-7 days to tell dealer’s address.Also, Wipro is not creating anything in India, it appears. Their software solution uses Chinese SmartHome servers which many unknown vendors are also using. That’s why you can add all SmartHome devices to Wipro app and vice-versa.Edit : wipro has designated a specific person for each zone of India. Once you call their customer care number, they will give you the number of that specific person. It takes about 7 days to reveal that person’s number. Then that person talks to you. If he understands that pick up the faulty product is needed, he will arrange the pick up. It will take another 20 days because delhivery courier is very bad. Then again, it will take 5 to 7 days to check the product and then to ship the replacement. The delivery will again take 2 to 3 days. So you are going to lose about 40 days for this whole process.I got a replacement.

Initial Impressions
 1. All 4 ports can be controlled individually. The whole device can also be switched off at once.2. The device doesn’t hold the last state after a power recycle. for example if port 2 and 4 is switch off means after a power reset, all the ports power up.3. The side where the power cable enters heats up considerably probably because of control module. Not sure how much power is consumed by the module.4. Built quality is not bad. Seems like durable.5. Cable length is fine.6. Provided Manual is good to follow and to setup the device.7. After a power reset device comes up in the Google home app pretty quickly.8. works seamlessly with Google home. Have not tested with Amazon Alexa.9. if you have home ups this device will be helpful. otherwise after power failures when power comes back all connected devices will be powered up.10. Guys Beware if internet is not there or internet connection is down nothing will work.That time you can press the red button off and on so that all ports will power up.Will update this space regarding durability after some time of usage.One point of concern:While adding “Wipro Smart Extension” to google home setup, during the authentication process a 3rd website is opened to capture device password and that website(pxy1.tuyaus.com) looks like Chinese.

Terrible Manufacturing poor service
Quick update on this – the replacement works well and has been for a while. Surprisingly does not require a fresh setup in a new location. Exactly timed to just under 3 months, this strip stopped working entirely. No power, no wifi nothing, dead. On calling customer care (several disconnects, a complaint lodged but no record or acknowledgment of said complaint. They will revert in 5-7 working days with the location of a service centre. Given poor performance and durability, this is a waste of money and would not recommend buying.Update: surprisingly there was a no question replacement. Call centre called someone who set up a collection and in a week a replacement unit was in.

It does not have manual switches for each socket which is an inconvenience, you will have to look for your phone each time you want to operate, imagine elders wanting to use it who does not have smartphone.The build quality is shabby ð, it would have been much better given the high price.
