I have this for 1-2 months now and I have tried many different recipes in the meantime for baking, roasting, grill and it’s super convenient to use from the mi app, lot of recipe options to choose from. Let’s you control from your phone on time n temp, compact design, easy to clean and worth the money for this amount of work it gets done.

Best air fryer on the market
It is not overly complicated like the Philips air fryer with lots of buttons, the APP is good to have but is mostly a gimmick as you can do everything with the knob. The quality is top notch and works like advertised I have recommended this to all my friends.

Overpriced for what is offered. (Ask for replacement if it gets warm)
I got the product in good condition, though there was no amazon packaging.No special accessory, special cooking instruction or recipe book was there. There was a grill, but nothing else.Now, onto the device itselfThe power cord was too short..Standard outlet wouldn’t do.The plug is like a microwave, meant for heavy duty. It’s big and wouldn’t fit into a standard outlet. So you’d need to place it in a place with such a master socket…The air fryer’s basket is easy to clean, but difficult to dry.You need to shake the basket a lot after washing to get it to dry properly.The basket is way too small. You can only fit in 4 muffins properly. It’s deep enough to get two layers if the cooking involves nothing thick.And two layers would mean only the top layer gets cooked properly, you need to remove the top layer (grill stand) and then continue cooking the lower layer for around 4 minutes.This is a pain.You get a grill stand in addition, but no other accessories.The inner tray is a perfect fit and the basket takes some time to get used to it so that you can fit it in one try.The mi home app has some issues, like with countdown for a preset.So. The first thing I tried was fries.Like someone already mentioned, the french fries just don’t turn crispy.I think it’s probably because it’s not dried properly.But I felt like I wasted 15 minutes rather than a feeling of satisfaction. There wasn’t much fries in it either, just a single layer, each and every fry was on top of the inner tray not piled on top of each other.I see no reason for it failing to cook properly. I also shook the basket properly as required, half way through.The top of the device gets really warm. And there was a mild plasticky odor when I cooked fries.There’s no preset for defrosting, preheating or reheating. You’d need to create custom presets for that. It’s not availabe in the recipe list in mi home app either.The next thing I tried was fish.The cooking preset doesn’t work properly. I had to cook for another 5 minutes in addition to the preset duration.It was dry.. Very dry. The usual amount of salt felt insufficient. Tried fish fried in olive oil alongside this. The difference was just too much to ignore. And air fryer isn’t all that healthier compared to cooking with olive oil, for most folks.Then I tried vegetables, I only put enough slices of ivy gourd (Tendli) to fill the tray with one layer of the slices, which means I am giving it maximum exposure. But it still took extra 4 minutes to look ‘cooked’. Meaning, the preset for vegetables is no good. It did turn out crispy, but not all of them, despite having just a single layer. Again a difference of heaven and earth when you try the same with Olive oil.Then I tried cake.It was hard, felt more like chocolate fudge.You shouldn’t use the preset menu, but follow instructions given by the one who provided the recipe.For what is being offered, I think it’s way too overpriced..even @5999 that I got it for during prime day sale.The only reason I went for it rather than pigeon that was on sale for 2999 was because some people complained about the non-stick coating coming off on the pigeon one and I didn’t see anything similar here. But I see there’s a different in appearance in some places. Not sure if it’s a warning sign.Edit/Update: Consulted the customer care/technician from XiaomiI was asked to get a replacement. The device is not supposed to get hot even if you use it for a whole day. There should be no such discoloration in the non-stick basket.If you experience this, ask for a replacement asap.Edit: The replacement that I was provided didn’t have a grill rack. So it might not have been brand new, but open box.Pay attention to this part.With the single dial for all operations and no separate buttons and the mi home app being immature, I can only recommend this to young guys.My mother found this extremely difficult to operate, that I had to stay and do most of the work involving the air fryer.I’d be adding more to this review after trying all presets.Tl;dr:Cons:1. Short cord.2. Needs a 15amp socket. The plug is too big. So you wouldn’t be confused about where to plug it in. Because you just can’t fit it in a standard socket.3. Drying the basket isn’t easy.4. Way too small a basket5. Presets aren’t precise, you’d need to cook longer for some, while some felt overcooked.6. Cleaning the basket isn’t as easy as it looks, especially when you have to make multiple courses because of the small basket.6. The operations with the single dial aren’t easy for older folks. The presets being inaccurate is another red flag.7. It connects via older Bluetooth 4.1. So it shouldn’t be this costly.8. If there’s a momentary loss of current, the device wouldn’t switch on automatically.So you need to go to the machine physically and switch it on. The remote convenience of app is already not gone with this issue.Better to get an UPS or something similar with big enough socket if you live in an area with somewhat unreliable electricity connection.9. This is quite important. Xiaomi authorized service center denied services saying that they only provide service for smartphones. So, before you make your purchase, contact your nearest center to verify their services.10. Replacement provided was probably tampered with as grill rack was missing.Only return possible for the already replaced item. So I had to return it because grill rack was missing.Edit: Finally got a good device. But now I found out something else. Only 8 custom recipes can by added to the app because there’s only space for 8 favorites.Pros:1. Good build quality.2. Looks good3. Setting up the app is easy.4. There’s only a single basket and a snugly fitting tray. So barely any volume of the 3.5L is wasted unlike others that come with inner basket. I think this is very honest of Xiaomi.Edit: (after less than a year of use)DO NOT BUYThe non-stick coating just comes off within a year no matter how careful you are with it.I only ever use it with a silicone tray and I never brush it and wash it. I use wet microfiber cloth to clean. STILL…this one’s non-stick coating just came off from the sides.I’ve attached the pictures.This is overpriced for what it offers.Definitely not worth more than ₹4000.All the reasons I gave myself for making this purchase over something like pigeon which was half the price of this at that time no longer applies, because this one fails in those where I expected this to be better.As for paying even more for a Philips air fryer. I am not sure, especially after paying more for this rather than buying pigeon and experiencing such disappointment.I’d need to see if I can get a replacement for the tray and basket.EDIT:XIAOMI refused to provide warranty for the loss of non-stick coating.DO NOT BUY.YOU’RE NOT GETTING ANYTHING FROM THE BRAND NAME.Pigeon offers a bigger basket at half the price.
